The third-party email automation platform we use for our newsletters employs a web beacon called tracking pixel. A web beacon is a small graphic image used in emails to track the behavior of the receiver of the email. The web beacon makes it possible to determine whether e-mails have been opened or whether the links contained in the e-mails have been clicked on. We use this information to improve our email service and evaluate which information is read or clicked on the most. When the email is deleted by the receiver, the web beacon is also automatically deleted too.
